Darkseid is the ruler of Apokolips and the evil New Gods. He is the Light's "partner" and supplies them with Apokoliptain technology, which he sends to Earth via Boom Tube and through his follower, DeSaad.
In 2016, after the Light's plans had been foiled by the Team. Vandal Savage conquered the Warworld and flew it to Apokolips. When he reaches Apokolips' orbit, Savage uses a Boom Tube to transport himself to the planets surface, where he meets with Darkseid, DeSaad and his other henchman G. Gordon Godfrey. He shakes Darkseid's hand and remarks that he was here to do "business as usual."
